my bio!

hi! i’m morgan, welcome to my super sick website that i MADE. i’ve always been a bit of a computer kid — maybe a lot of a computer kid. i guess “kid” isn’t really the right word anymore now that i’m in my late 20s… but being online still makes me feel like one. and honestly? i want to keep chasing that childlike sense of wonder forever.

being a “computer kid,” i naturally ended up with a career in tech. not because i planned it that way, but because i loved the internet too much not to. now that i code, i’ve realized i want to learn more creative languages — not just the boring ones i use for analytics (i only code large databases to serve analytic purposes, yuck!). i want to explore the artistic side of coding, the kind that feels like play.

i’m constantly nostalgic for the internet i grew up with — the maximillism, the weird rabbit holes, the game sites, MYSPACE, and duh, pirating music. i dream about that version of the internet constantly. and now, i can finally say i brought that world to life. this site is my own hard-coded nostalgic dream space. it brings together all the retro themes that made me fall in love with being online in the first place while including a very modern view of the world now (and me in it).

building this website brought me so much joy. it made something that used to feel intangible — like an idea i’d fall asleep to — into something real. i hope everyone who stumbles across this page (hi friends and family lolz) can feel even a little bit of the happiness i felt while creating it

i went to electric forest which was the first music festival i went to since college. i felt to free and attune to a past version of myself. the whole thing was an amazing memory, but the one that stands out the most is when we were overwhelmed in a crazy crowd so we went to another stage. the stage had an open field, beuatiful breeze, and an amazing UKG DJ playing (interplanetary criminal). i frolicked and i danced and danced and danced and danced.

i went to a dj set... b2b fcukers and the dare. i really wanted to go so got a lot of my friendz together at my house for the first time to party a little bit before heading to dance. all my friends meshed so well and we ended up dancing for hours having so much fun. looking over and seeing all my new friends share so much joy together was beautiful

i moved to BK recently and feel like a new person. when i moved in my mom came to visit and all my friends came over and my mom helped me make a dinner. she is always the one hosting parties for her friends and i am helping her. it was really special to have her there helping me for my friends

i've been getting closer to my friend megan. i really enjoy being around her. she is easy and fun and kind and a pleasure to get to know better. we went to the beach recently just us and got high and giggled and it was fun HEHE

for the 4th of july me and my friends went on this silly little speed boat in manhattan called the beast. it was so fun and audrey made this funny joke about it being the titanic and it splits in half and we dont make it lol. we were right by the shore. i also had fun with my friend alex that day. it was nice to have him at the party and hang w him

i met a v sweet and cute boy recently. we had such a good first date and it was just fun to know i can still connect with someone. he has been making me feel really safe and seen which i haven't had someone do for me from online dating. feels different which is nice. he came over and watched scrubs with me and scratched my head and we drank wine and i liked it.
